In the first 24 hours of his presidency, the actions and words of our country’s leader and his allies are despicable and deeply troubling.

Today marks my lowest point as an American. While our nation has faced its share of challenges, those moments, for me, were opportunities to recover and reaffirm the virtues that define us as defenders of democracy, liberty, and freedom.

Today our leaders push us toward fascism and employing demagoguery.

I fear it may be too late to recover. We must change course immediately and take a stand against their blatant acts of wrongdoing.
